Bicycle trip of Rajasthan - Itinerary

In this blog, we will guide you on how to plan an itinerary for a bicycle trip across Rajasthan. Before starting out, it is paramount to determine our starting point for this bicycle trip. For the purpose of this guide, we will choose Delhi as our starting point

Day One: Start from Delhi after having your breakfast. Head to Jaipur, which is approximately 314 kilometres away. If you plan to cover around 100 kilometres a day, then on the third day, you will reach Jaipur.

Day Two: Continue pedalling towards Jaipur.

Day Three: By the end of day three, you will reach Jaipur. Take a rest at any hotel or opt for a backpacker hostel for budget traveling.

Day Four: Spend the day exploring Jaipur. In my bicycle trip across Rajasthan, I allocated two days for Jaipur as I did not want to rush through it. If you prefer, you can also spend two days exploring Jaipur.

Day Five: Head towards Ajmer/Pushkar, which is approximately 133 kilometres from Jaipur. Try to depart early so that you can reach Ajmer on the same day. You can book a hotel or opt for an ashram for budget traveling.

Day Six: Since Pushkar is a temple town and Ajmer is a district, I chose to explore Pushkar on day six, as it houses the only Brahma temple in the world. Ajmer and Pushkar are only 15 kilometres apart.

Day Seven: Cycle towards Jodhpur, which is approximately 180 kilometres from Pushkar. It will take you two days to reach Jodhpur.

Day Eight: By afternoon on day eight, you will reach Jodhpur. You can book a hotel or a backpacker hostel in Jodhpur for budget traveling. In the evening, head to Mehrangarh Fort to witness the magnificent sunset over Jodhpur, also known as the Blue City. You can depart from Jodhpur the next day or extend your stay for another day.

Day Nine: Explore Jodhpur during the day.
